	Anyone can benefit from study of the Alexander Technique. The Alexander Technique is a practical method for learning how to be more aware of and prevent the unnecessary tension we often put into everything we do. If you are interested in taking a more active role in your health and well being, study of the Alexander Technique can help you learn to function in a more coordinated and natural way with more ease and less strain. The Alexander Technique is over 100 years old and historically was used primarily by performing artists. Today, however, many people in the general population use the Alexander Technique to address a wide variety of problems. By teaching people to change inefficient and potentially harmful movement and postural habits, the Alexander Technique helps people deal with issues such as chronic neck, shoulder and back pain, stress-related conditions, repetitive strain injuries, breathing and vocal difficulties, among others. Students at the studio come from all walks of life. Lauren works with musicians, actors and dancers as well as computer programmers, graphic artists, stay at home moms and factory workers.
